Thank you for the green popup fix! But I have a suggestion for the next update - please move the black popup to the top of the screen and make it a bit narrower, so users may continue to read texts without troubles.

This app is wonderful for systemizing all Japanese grammar.

Seems like a good guide with a wise approach, although almost everywhere, starting from Hiragana, the page is blank after several paragraphs. The text is there, I can copy it to Notes, but its like invisible :( Please, be so kind to fix. Arigatou gozaimas.

Awesome Japanese grammar guide! It makes you laugh while teaching you very good stuff, I loved it

Really nice guide, though it would need some layout revision on iPhone; for some tables for example, that are not easy to read. In addition, the app is not fully optimized for the iPhone 6s screen resolution, as everything looks a bit blurry. Finally I regret the absence of the vocabulary recapitulation at the beginning of each section, like on the website…

I would have given it 5 starts, but I cant find app support to help me with sound in the app. So when I click the the characters I can see how to write them but no pronunciation.

A great textbook that explains Japanese on its own terms, scrubbing away misleading attempts to compare it to English. If nothing else, read chapter nine on the subject of sentence order.

It really does teach me the basics of Japanese and helps me understand the fundamentals of what Im going to be saying.

Before you even begin grammar

Ive tried many books to help me learn Japaneseand Many of them just helped make me even more confused. This app is great, starting at the roots and moving up as opposed to sticking you in the middle of a language.

I like the guide a lot. It gets 5 stars. The app itself has a thing where the menu pops up a bit on the side, and it happens kind of randomly. Tbh its pretty annoying lol. I could just be swiping normally and it will start appearing, then I have to shoo it away. If it could change so that bringing up the pop up could feel more consistent, and less present, instant 5 stars.

If youre good at self-study, I wholly recommend this app.

Very impressed with this app. Best way to learn Japanese and its free. I love learning languages but this delightful app has made it extra fun to learn a language. Cant wait to finally finish the guide and proudly say I can (somewhat) speak 5 languages. Theres an issue I encountered though. Some lessons wont let you tap a phrase to check the meaning despite being green and underlined. Essential Grammar: Lesson 8 is an example. Not sure if that was done on purpose for kanji memorization purposes, or if they simply forgot to add that feature into certain lessons. Running iPhone 6, iOS 10. Just in case thats part of the issue.

If you dont like grammar, dont learn another language. Japanese is a category 5 language. Thats a fancy way of saying fluency will be denied to anyone who refuses to take it seriously--thats a promise. Im saying this as a precautionary message for all of you who arent sure about learning it. With this language, you either go big or go home. Learn the kanji. I did it, so anyone can, and this app will have you learn it without much effort. For those who desire fluid reading, this app is the way to go! Of all the other free apps, this has the most content. For once it isnt like a robot is your teacher. This guy explains it almost as if he were talking to you one on one. It makes learning fun and simple. He explains things exactly as they are.

I was trying to find a good learning tool for a while, and when I found this app, I was a bit septal about it, but it was amazing!

If youre looking to learn both written Japanese grammar and conversational speaking grammar, then I highly recommend this app. I used this guidebook during and after my time studying abroad in Japan and it helped immensely with understanding what was being said around me. This was especially important as many language-learning software neglect the casual conversational aspect of Japanese. This is a very comprehensive app that is totally worth the download and has the potential to be helpful for Japanese learners of virtually any level.
